Justin Wearne

Principal Consultant

30 years experience in B2B marketing and business strategy.

Prior to launching JWPM Consulting in 1993, Justin was Group Manager Marketing for ATCO Industries, a prefabricated building manufacturer supplying workforce accommodation for resource companies and for international organisations including the United Nations.

Prior to ATCO Justin worked in a variety of Advertising and Marketing roles including Advertising and Marketing Manager for the Adelaide Casino and Account Manager Cato Johnson (the sales promotion arm of Young & Rubicam).

Over 30 years Justin has delivered consulting projects to engineering firms, component suppliers, State and Local Governments, manufacturers, services companies and contractors working at board level or advising management.

Justin’s core strength is understanding technology across a wide range of disciplines and industries combined with extensive experience with business to business (b2b) sales, marketing, business structures and operations.

In 2007, Justin launched a Telecommunications start-up called Red Button Technologies, a critical comms system aimed at the personal emergency alert market. The company secured a Federal Government Grant, and $500,000 in venture capital from a Melbourne based IT company. The company secured both Australian and US patents for its core technology.

Greg Tunny

Greg Tunny (a former CEO of the Australian Submarine Corporation) is a dynamic, innovative and outcomes focused senior businessman. He has led the profitable growth of technology & infrastructure oriented project, product and customer support businesses operating in Australia and internationally.

Greg has 30 years of diverse experience winning business and delivering customer solutions, in Australia and internationally, including; China, UK, Middle East and South East Asia. He has experience in defence & aerospace, information technology & software, shipbuilding/marine, advanced manufacturing, water infrastructure, industrial and medical devices sectors. Greg has experience with large organisations, entrepreneurial SMEs and start-ups.

He has led a range of initiatives including: new ventures; new generation facilities and Lean manufacturing; product development and management; export sales and delivery of large technology projects/products; and technology transfer.

Greg’s past positions in industry include: business consulting and CEO/CTO roles with, Leed Engineering and Construction Pty Ltd (Civil Contracting), Chief Executive Officer, Australian Submarine Corporation Ltd, Chief Executive Officer, Thales Air Traffic Management Pty Ltd, Managing Director Australia & Asia, ADI /Thales Australia, Director Business Development & Strategy and also General Manager Systems & Software, Vipac Engineers & Scientists Pty Ltd in several roles, the last as Manager NSW.

Shawn Marinakis

Marketing Account Manager

Shawn is an experienced B2B marketer with over 18 years industry experience across both traditional marketing and digital landscapes.

Skilled in traditional research to determine insights into end-user, competitor, and industry characteristics and dimensions, Shawn combines analytical marketing capabilities with in-depth understanding of marketing communication campaign management and creative processes.

Shawn is a modern digital native possessing extensive knowledge of strategies and campaign management of SEO, digital brand building, lead generation, and content marketing.

In addition, Shawn is skilled in the development of traditional marketing communications spanning print media, marketing collateral, and trade show marketing.

In the digital space Shawn has in depth knowledge of both 2D and 3D digital tools and techniques required to produce stunning digital graphics.

Shawn has over 10 years ‘client side’ experience in corporate marketing management roles spanning project marketing for building development and construction, automotive after-market products, franchise distribution, and digital arts education.

Steve Gross

Senior Web Developer

Born and bred in Philadelphia USA, Steve is a unique combination of IT professional and marketer. Steve brings to JWPM extensive international experience in the latest digital marketing techniques having managed a team of 15+ marketing specialists creating and executing Direct Mail, Email, Social Media, SEO/SEM, Text Message and Pay-Per-Click campaigns for small and mid-sized businesses.

He is an experienced web developer with SQL Server database skills. He has worked as a Marketing Operations Manager, IT Manager and worked in aftermarket performance automotive parts and servicing. He has a BA Majoring in Psychology and is Google Adwords Certified.

Steve brings a range of digital & direct marketing specialist skills to JWPM including; In-depth knowledge of Email marketing systems & custom HTML email design, HTML5 responsive web design across all devices, animated digital ads, integration of analytics packages, skilled user of Social Media Platforms for B2B and B2C marketing purposes, digital event management, Google Adwords campaigns & ad design, graphic design for web & print, direct mail campaigns, branding, stationary, marketing collateral design and layout.

Steve has worked with many large clients such as AAA America, NAPA Automotive, Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone, ATI, Sysco Foods, Epsilon, CokeSolutions, Elite Worldwide, RestaurantOwner.com, and many small to mid sized businesses in the US, Europe and Canada.

Sony Merlin

Senior Web Developer

Sony is a strong full-stack web developer with 10 years experience building WordPress, Joomla and PHP websites.

Sony is more than just a content loader and builds custom themes from the ground up using CSS, PHP and programming custom widgets and plug ins.

She has handled websites from project proposal, and requirements gathering to website launch. Sony has excellent knowledge of custom themes, theme builders, custom posts, custom fields, and plugin customization. She has experience in WooCommerce, GIT / SVN, and third party API connecting live sites with external sources of assets and content as well as integrating shopping cart transaction data delivered back to ERP systems.

Sony also integrates third party marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and integrates and manages tracking codes.

Sony has excellent experience optimizing websites to improve SEO performance.

Greg Clothier

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Our Quality Management Systems advisor, Greg Clothier, has a wealth of experience developed over 20+ years as an in-house quality management system professional. Greg has implemented many integrated systems; developing and maintaining quality management systems to meet certification standards, as well as undertaking both internal and external quality systems audit services across heavy industry, engineering, oil and gas, construction and transport sectors. Greg has also lectured and conducted training in quality management and the fundamentals of internal auditing.

Greg’s broader career has seen him act as a professional manager, business advisor and business development executive heading-up SME organisations, primarily in the engineering sector. He is regarded as a dynamic business leader with a reputation for leading change and revitalising organisations, and has a particular understanding of the challenges faced by industrial organisations.

Greg has served on a number of company and industry committees and boards and has a high profile within the South Australian business community.

Belinda Stachowiak

ART DIRECTOR

With a comprehensive background in art direction for print, website, digital and social media design for companies in Australia, Finland and England, Belinda is well positioned to deliver effective communication and branding solutions for clients.

Belinda is well versed in working with B2B and B2C clients, having worked for high profile clients such as Nokia, Polar, Toyota, University of South Australia and FORM2000. Belinda mixes inspired design whilst ensuring required consistency in branding application and understanding of the client’s marketing landscape.

With a results orientated approach, Belinda oversees concepts that strategically align with client and campaign objectives. Her range of technical and marketing skills, along with her ability to work with clients and project teams to deliver great outcomes, delivers value to the JWPM team.

Jaimie Wearne

Content Marketing / Designer Illustrator

Jaimie is a member of graphic design and digital marketing team, specialising in digital design and content creation. Primarily focusing on the development and implementation of branding, logo design, styling and print production.

As well as social media management, content marketing, blogging and eNews.

She’s also used her illustration skills to create original artwork, character designs and unique graphics for posters, product packaging and online promotions.

Jane Daw

FINANCIAL ANALYST

Jane is a trained bean counter from a Chartered Accounting background with more than 25 years’ experience. In the recent past, Jane was a member of the teaching staff at the University of Adelaide, and the University of South Australia, tutoring undergraduate and post-graduate students. Jane's role at JWPM includes financial analysis and modelling. In her spare time she manages the firm's finances and keeps us on the straight and narrow.
